Entry Process

The entry deadline for entries was 5pm on Monday 23rd January 2023.

A panel of experts undertakes judging for each category. Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has appointed an independent delivery agent who will form the judging panel for these awards. This panel will be responsible for reviewing applications of all award categories and interviewing finalists and deciding the winners.

Stage 1 of the judging process will be to shortlist submissions based on the criteria above. Shortlisted finalists will be notified by Wednesday 1st February and will be invited to take part in Stage 2 of the judging process. Please note that if an applicant is shortlisted for this stage, they must be available to attend a 15-minute Zoom interview/presentation with the judging panel on Wednesday 8th February. The panel will then rank the shortlist based on the interview. If you have entered the Best Licensed Eating Establishment Award or Best Non-Licensed Eating Establishment Award, stage 2 of the judging process will be a mystery shopping visit and you will not be required to attend an interview.
